Kind of like anxiously awaiting a shiny new iPad and tearing open the box to give it those first few taps, or firing up the transmission of a brand new car, breathing in that new car smell, or… you know what I mean.  WordPress 3.0 has arrived, and in case you’re not aware… It’s quite awesome.

We – being the WordPress enthusiasts that we are – have been using the 3.0 beta releases for quite some time now.  So I’m happy to report:

All of the theme demos have been upgraded, tested, and approved to work flawlessly with WordPress 3.0.  No theme updates necessary.  Of course, we are planning on rolling out ongoing feature enhancements over the coming weeks and months.

Speaking of feature enhancements, a few of our themes already include some WordPress 3.0 awesomeness.  Clean Slate and Gadget both include options to enable custom menu management, giving you full control over your navigation links.

Now it’s time for our Free Gadget WordPress Theme to get the star treatment as well.  Here are the major updates to Gadget, which dropped today:

• Fully redesigned theme options panel – It’s clean, snappy, and fully integrated with the WordPress UI.  Check out a screenshot of Gadget’s theme options page expanded.
• Upload your own logo image - We know you want to swap your own logo on your site.  Now we make it easy for you do this, right from the theme options page.
• Featured Images (a.k.a. WordPress Thumbnails) for the Featured Slider - Kind of a minor update, but this improves autoresizing of featured posts images.
• WordPress 3.0 Menu Management enabled – We know 3.0 hasn’t dropped yet, but Gadget is already fully equipped for Menu Management.  That means you can drag-and-drop your menu items to have full control over the main and top navigation links.

• Industry now sports our fully redesigned Theme Options page.  This design is more closely tied in with the user interface of WordPress itself, making for a familiar experience with snappy controls.  Take a look at the theme options page expanded.
• You now have the ability to upload your own logo image – both for the top and in the footer.
• The featured posts slider now has the option to display WordPress posts or pages.
• Several minor fixes throughout.
